This is an original piece of Fanfiction adapted from the 1939 film "The wizard of Oz". Instead in my version of events Dorothy and her little dog Toto follow the red brick road to the land of Rockdom, a sort of purgatory for rockstars; Where she meets Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon and in order to return home to Kansas, she must help each one of the deceased rockstars fulfill their unfinished buisness and go on to Rockstar heaven.
As Dorothy lay on her bed, the sun warming her face and Toto snuggled up next to her, she drifted off into a deep sleep, her mind filling with dreams...... Suddenly she awoke by a loud 'THUD' noise. Dorothy sat up, stretched and yawned wondering how long she had been asleep for, she jumped out of bed, Toto at her feet and ran out the door to go find Aunt Em, who she expected to be in the chicken coop feeding the chickens; But when she stepped outside she didnt see Aunt Em or the chickens! In fact she wasent even on her little farm in Kansas anymore!
"Oh Toto I must be still dreaming" she said to her little dog. As she looked around at her surroundings. As far as the eye could see there were these bright, tall flowers, almost as tall as her house, and they all had faces, faces that were staring down at her and Toto in utter shock! And aswell as the flowers there was a swirly yellow and red brick road, the yellow brick road went to the west and the red brick road went to the east.
"Where am I" Dorothy wondered to herself as she sat down on the ground and began to cry. "Why are you crying little girl?" a soothing voice asked her. Dorothy looked up and was amazed to see one of the giant flowers talking to her! "Well I dont know where I am and how to get home" Dorothy replied. "Follow the red brick road" said the flower and with that the flowers face dissapeared.
"Well Toto" Dorothy said, "I guess its better than just sitting around here!" And off they went down the red brick road. After walking for what seemed like forever, Dorothy and Toto came across a little, shabby shack. Dorothy decided to knock on the door to see if there was anyone inside that could help her. 'KNOCK,KNOCK,KNOCK'. "Come in!" Replied a mans voice, Dorothy was hesitant but went in anyway. When she entered the house she saw three men sitting around a table and when they all turned around she realised who they were; Three famous deceased musicians! John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison! "Oh my!" Dorothy exclaimed!
"Who are you?" Jim Morrison asked in a way that made Dorothy jump, "Well sir, Im Dorothy and this is my little dog Toto and the giant flower told us to follow the red brick road and we have been walking for a long time and we just want to get home!" Cried Dorothy."Wow! Slow down little Miss" said John Lennon in a soothing tone, "don't mind Jim, he is a bit of a grump at times".
Suddenly, there was a flash of light and a gust of smoke and out of nowhere a leprechaun appeared. " Hello, my name is Ralph, I am the gatekeeper of Rockdom and I have come to help with your dilema". He said. "Dorothy, I will send you and your little dog Toto home but first you have to help these three deceased rockstars complete their unfinished buisness so they can move onto Rockstar Heaven, they have been hanging around here for far too long and frankly they are starting to become a nuisance!"
Dorothy agreed to help the rockstars in return for her ticket home. Ralph the leprechaun left in the same sudden way as he had appeared. And the three rockstars began to tell Dorothy each of their unfinished buisness.
First up was Jim Morrison. He wanted to sing once again infront of an audience, so Dorothy came up with the idea of returning back to the flowers with the faces and having Jim perform for them. The show was a hit, the flowers whistled and cheered for Jim and even asked for an encore! Jim finished the show with a big grin on his face, his unfinished buisness was complete and he was able to walk away into the bright light of Rockstar Heaven.
Next was Jimi Hendrix, Jimi was the silent type so it was hard for Dorothy to get him to tell her what his unfinished buisness was, but after some coaxing from John Lennon, Jimi told Dorothy. His unfinished buisness was to have a pot of his favourite mushroom tea, the tea had to be made with a special type of blue mushrooms with yellow spots. So Dorothy, Toto, John and Jimi set out on a hunt for the mushrooms and after hours of searching high and low they finally found the special blue mushrooms with the yellow spots and Dorothy brewed Jimi a pot. "Well Dorothy, that was simply delicious" said Jimi and with that he vanished into the bright light of Rockstar Heaven.
Finally there was John Lennon. John's unfinished buisness was simply to have someone to love. Dorothy wondered how she would find someone for John Lennon to love, she thought and thought but nothing came to mind. "I knew this was too good to be true" Cried Dorothy and she slumped down on the ground. Toto ran up to her, barked and licked her hand. "Oh Toto! You're a genius" Said Dorothy. John, why dont you take Toto with you, he has been such a loyal companion to me and im sure he will be to you too! Toto yapped in agreement. So that was settled, John would take Toto with him to Rockstar Heaven, afterall dogs are a mans best friend! And off went John and Toto into the bright light.
So Dorothy had completed her task of helping the three deacesed rockstars move onto Rockstar Heaven. Ralph the leprechanun gatekeeper appeared and sprinkled his magical dust on Dorothy, thanked her and wished her safe travels and before she knew it, Dorothy was back on her bed in Kansas.
She sat up, yawned and was surprised to see Toto lying next to her. "Wow Toto" Said Dorothy, "What a dream!"

I hope you enjoy it and I would love any type of feedback.
Frankii. :)
The flowers with the faces is my favourite part because its scary and i love how you mixed the two stories of Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, like Dorothy entered the world of wonderland, except its called yellow brick road. (if thats what you intended :)) Cant wait for the final draft to see what other wierd unexpected things happen and how Dorothy gets out to reality.
